Building EcoSoap: a container for solid laundry soap
Designing and fabricating a 3D-printed container intended to make solid soap practical for use in washing machines.

In January 2025, I worked with Khalid Ibrahim, Ameen Khan, and Faisal Aljohani on EcoSoap during the six-week Sustainability & Innovation course delivered by Pristine NPO and Misk Foundation.
The concept
EcoSoap was a 3D-printed container designed to hold a solid soap bar inside a washing machine. The container was intended to control the soap's exposure during a wash cycle, making solid soap a more practical alternative to liquid detergent.
The proposal focused on soaps made from natural oils and on reducing reliance on packaged liquid detergents. The prototype gave us a physical way to examine how that idea might work in ordinary laundry use.
My contribution
I worked on the CAD model and fabricated the prototype through 3D printing. I also presented part of the project.
