Jahiziya Performance Badge
Awarded a certificate for my performance in the national Jahiziya Exam for Software Engineering
During my final semester at university, I was told that I had to take the Jahiziya standardized assessment for Software Engineering, administered by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC). The timing conflicted with a workshop I was participating in. Despite the conflict, the assessment went fairly well.
What I took from the experience
More than anything, this assessment proved that I had actually learned what was expected of me as a software engineer. Despite this award, I still do believe that I prefer governance, risk, and compliance as a field. What I found interesting was how differently everyone approached the assessment. Some of my peers spent hours preparing. I chose not to cram because I wanted the result to reflect what I had retained from my degree.
