Why I took the PSM I certification
Starting work at NTG Clarity put Agile terminology into my daily routine and gave me a reason to revisit what I had learned at university.
Since starting work at NTG Clarity, I have been inundated with Agile. “Throw X in the backlog,” listening to my coworkers go through their stand-up meetings, and so on.
It felt like a good time for a refresher. Payday had just hit too, so I studied for and passed the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
Credit where it is due
I genuinely want to thank my university instructor and mentor, Dr Ahmed Saeed, who taught me how Agile is done. Thanks to him, studying for the certification felt like a review rather than learning from scratch.
