Building IndustroLink for The Container

How Faisal Aljohani and I prepared a logistics-capacity matching proposal for NIDLP and won first place through The Container business incubator.

Faisal Aljohani and I developed IndustroLink as a proposal for the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program through The Container logistics business incubator. The project received first place at the program’s closing ceremony.

The problem

Logistics demand does not remain constant. A company can have trucks or other transport resources sitting idle during one period while another company struggles to find enough capacity. That mismatch raises costs and leaves useful assets underused.

The proposal

IndustroLink was our proposal for a digital platform that could connect companies with spare logistics capacity to companies that needed temporary or continuing transport support.

The proposed platform used data analysis and AI-assisted matching to bring supply and demand together. It was also designed to help customers compare providers against defined requirements instead of relying on an informal search each time capacity was needed.

Testing the assumption

We ran a small survey with 14 responses. Some respondents reported periods of unused logistics resources, while others reported periods of unmet demand. The survey also indicated interest in an on-demand truck service. The sample was small, so we treated it as early validation rather than proof of the wider market.

The business model

We developed a business-model canvas covering the intended users, partners, activities, channels, costs, and revenue streams. The operating plan moved from platform design to a limited pilot, gradual expansion, performance improvement, integration with existing systems, and possible regional growth. These were proposed stages, not completed deployments.
